Booking Terms and Conditions

1. Booking and Fare Information

1.1 Airport Parking Fees:

For all airport pick-up services, an additional parking fee will be applied. This fee corresponds strictly to the actual amount paid for airport parking; no supplementary charges are added. A copy of the parking receipt can be provided upon request.

1.2 Airport Drop-Off Charges:

All airports charge a drop-off fee. The amount of this fee varies depending on the airport, as different airports have different charges. This fee will be added as an additional charge to the quoted fare.

1.3 Fare Basis:

Fares are quoted based on travel to and from Chelsea, SW10. Fares may vary depending on exact pick-up and drop-off locations.

1.4 Booking Confirmation:

All bookings are confirmed via email to ensure the safety of both the passenger and the booking agent (if applicable). Once a booking is confirmed, the passenger will receive the vehicle license plate, a photo of the driver, and an emergency contact number. If an agent books on behalf of a passenger, this information must be passed to the passenger.

1.5 Passenger Contact:

A valid contact number for the passenger is required for every booking.

1.6 Sharing with Sister Companies:

Bookings may be shared with our sister companies. If you do not wish this, please notify us at the time of booking.

2. Passenger Policy

2.1 Passenger Count:

Each vehicle is licensed to carry a specified number of passengers. Passengers are counted individually by headcount, regardless of age or size. Infants and children are each counted as one passenger.

2.2 Route Policy:

Drivers will, where practicable, select the quickest or least congested route. Any deviation requested by the passenger—for purposes including collecting or dropping off additional passengers or visiting shops—will incur an additional minimum fee of £5 per stop, pick-up, or drop-off.

2.3 Smoking Policy:

Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes), is strictly prohibited in all vehicles in accordance with applicable law. Passengers must refrain from smoking while on board.

3. Vehicle Type and Pricing

3.1 Vehicle Capacity:

All fares are based on vehicle type and size. For example, a saloon car (e.g., Mercedes-Benz) may carry up to four passengers and a maximum of two large pieces of luggage.

3.2 Alternative Vehicles:

· If luggage exceeds the vehicle’s capacity, an MPV may be provided for up to four passengers, five medium luggage items, and two cabin bags.

  • For six passengers with up to six luggage items, a minibus or extra-large minibus will be provided depending on passenger and luggage volume.
    Fares will be adjusted accordingly.

4. Waiting Time

4.1 Standard Bookings:

A complimentary waiting period of 15 minutes is provided. Late arrivals beyond this period incur a charge of £5 for the first 15 minutes, then £15 for each subsequent 30 minutes.

4.2 Airport Pick-Ups:

A complimentary waiting period of 45 minutes from aircraft landing or 30 minutes from the scheduled pick-up time is provided. Additional waiting incurs £5 for the first 15 minutes, then £15 for each subsequent 30 minutes.

5. Payment Methods

Payments can be made via the following methods:

  • Cash: GBP or USD (exchange rate based on day/time of payment plus a 10% administrative fee, minimum £10).

  • Bank Transfer: No additional charge.

  • PayPal: A 3% fee will be added to the payment amount.

5.1 Credit Cards:
We no longer accept credit card payments.

6. Tips

Tipping is optional and entirely at the discretion of the passenger. Any tip added can be included on the receipt or invoice if requested. Our company does not influence or request tipping amounts.

7. Overloading Notice

7.1 Compliance:
By law, vehicles must not be overloaded with luggage or goods.

7.2 Luggage Guidelines:

  • All luggage must be properly secured.

  • Luggage must not obstruct the driver’s rear view; the driver must maintain a clear view through the center mirror.

Failure to comply may result in a fine of up to £1,000 which will be forwarded to you the lead passenger.

7.3 Additional Notes:

  • Do not request drivers to place luggage on seats.

  • Any damage caused to seats due to luggage will incur charges for replacement or repair.

  • It is illegal for drivers to place luggage on seats (see TFL guidelines for reference).

8. In-Vehicle Cameras

Vehicles may be equipped with dash-cams or built-in CCTV systems for the safety of both passengers and drivers. This is required by Transport for London (TFL) regulations and insurance purposes.

  • Cameras may record both exterior and, in some cases, interior areas of the vehicle.

  • Recorded footage is retained for a limited period.

  • Footage may only be shared with law enforcement authorities, insurance companies, or TFL where legally required. Footage will not be disclosed to any other party.

· All of our cameras operate on a loop-recording system, which means that footage is not retained in memory for more than 24 hours. Footage may be retained for up to 28 days only if an incident occurs and the recordings are required to be provided to the police, insurance companies, and/or Transport for London (TfL).

· 10. Licensing and Regulatory Compliance

· 10.1 Taz Chauffeurs (“the Company”) is a private hire operator duly licensed by Transport for London (“TfL”). License number 008669.

· 10.2 All drivers engaged by the Company, whether contracted directly by Taz Chauffeurs or operating on a self-employed basis, are required to hold valid and current licences issued by TfL.

· 10.3 The Company undertakes to verify that all drivers and vehicles meet all applicable TfL regulatory requirements. This includes, without limitation, confirmation of driver licensing, vehicle licensing, and all mandatory supporting documentation.

· 10.4 Verification of a driver’s or vehicle’s licensing status may be obtained through the official TfL website.
